I try to tell the president to popularize the sport, it is not only in Douala and Yaounde.
Ebolowa team was a revelation. It's a team that should be followed. This time, there are grants that will be allocated to federations and it voted in the new budget, "promises Emmanuel Nkoumou representing Sports Minister.
But the national president of the National League Futsal, Roger Kuitche, laments the lack of support FECAFOOT. "This satisfaction would have been even greater if all players las futsal had been involved in this celebration. There is always that parochial between FECAFOOT and Futsal. In reality, the legal structure that has a mandate to organize futsal in Cameroon, the national futsal league. The others are partners to whom we extend our hand to no avail. That's why I still regret that at the end of this season we have not had the cooperation of FECAFOOT.

HISTORY OF FUTSAL WORLD AND CAMEROON

HISTORY OF FUTSAL WORLD AND CAMEROON

The first FIFA World Cup held by the French Jules Rimet and won by Uruguay in 1930 created a great enthusiasm for football practice by the young Uruguayan. Thus, the basketball gyms were used during recess to practice football. Very quickly, the motivation to play football was met with the inability to enforce its rules of play in a space reduced. After several years of observation and reflection, the professor of physical education Montevideo and Argentine priest Juan Carlos Ceriani Gravel codified football to allow the practice room.
He referred to the rules of indoor sports already codified as handball, basketball, water polo and in 1933 published the first written version of the rules of this new sport that will soon be popularized in Brazil and South America.
Initially seen as a leisure activity reserved young adults, it becomes a full medal sport in 1946 with its own national federations and its own rules. Because of various changes in states and regions of South America, two Brazilian and Habib MAPHUZ GONDOLA saw the need to harmonize the rules emerged and in 1956 published the 2nd version written rules that were later adopted internationally by Federation Internationale Futsal Association (FIFUSA). The Rise of International Futbol salao began in 1971 and reached cruising speed in in 1975 under the leadership of critical JAOA Havelange, who was the first President and also Chairman of Confederation Brazilian Sports.
Because the election of JAOA Havelange as President of FIFA , the FIFUSA will struggle to hold its first futsal world championship in 1982 in Sao Paolo in Brazil (victory of Brazil), then in 1985 in Madrid, Spain (winner Brazil) and 1988 in Sydney, Australia (win Paraguay).
In 1983, seeing the growth that took the world futsal, FIFA's rich and powerful attacks multiplied legal prohibition the FIFUSA to use the term football is a registered trademark of FIFA.
In 1978, the term 'FUTSAL' was created from traditional Portuguese expression. In 1985, the new term was included in the statutes of the FIFUSA Congress in Madrid and entered in all country.
With dissension between English and Brazilian in the FIFUSA , FIFA decided to take action to take possession of futsal in 1988.
Although the majority of the FIFUSA has rejected the proposal FIFA integrate futsal, a hybrid version of the game was created called 'FIFA Futsal 'or' Indoor football '. The rules of this version have been set up in 2000. The next goal FIFA will include one of the futsal as an Olympic discipline.
However, twelve members of the FIFUSA have decided to continue the original development of futsal in 2002 through a new international organization called World Futsal Association (AMF). So there are now two international federations that govern two distinct practices with their own game rules and objectives very distant.

In Cameroon, futsal appeared in 1998 with Mr. Tchoi Michel, President of the Cameroon Association Futsal (ACF) since the Constituent General Assembly September 12, 1997. Indeed, after obtaining approval from the Ministry responsible for sports February 18, 1998, ACF informed Fifa of its existence, which in turn takes FECAFOOT on the modalities Association and in particular integration FECAFOOT. The May 23, 1998, the first festival was held at Futsal Stadium Mateco University of Yaounde.
In terms of international competitions, national team of Cameroon Futsal participated in 2008 in Libya, the African Championship qualifier for the FIFA World Championship version.

The department of financial resources At The Ministry of Finance emerged Winner of the maiden edition of a corporate tournament in futsal. In the end That Took place last Saturday April 30, at the Concorde stadium of the University of Yaounde I, DRF (MINFI) beat MIC microfiche 3-2 to lift the trophy. In a classification match for the 3rd and 4th positions respectively EPI-CAMEROUN trounced ENAM 7-0. However prizes were awarded to the first four teams with special prizes for the best player at the final, highest goal scorer of the tournament, fair play and the oldest player who took part in the competition. The final was punctuated by a karate display by some little children.
The competition falls within measures put in place by the national futsal league to promote the sport discipline in Cameroon. Prior to the corporate tournament, there was a competition for university institutions in Cameroon which was won by the University of Dschang who defeated Ndi Samba on penalties after both sides were tied at two goals each way after regular time of play. The Corpos tournament will be followed by a feminine tournament, all in a move to promote the sports discipline in Cameroon.
According to the president of the national futsal league, Colonel Kuitche Roger, there is growing interest in the sports discipline given the increasing number of affiliations to the league and people manifesting interest either as players or referees.
Despite the fabulous work being done by the league to promote futsal in Cameroon, they still stand at odds with the Cameroon football federation which is the governing body of all forms of football in Cameroon. The league which was put in place by the ministry of sports and Physical Education, doesn't dispute the sovereignty of FECAFOOT over futsal but urging them to establish a working relationship with the league. Multiple appeals to this effect have so far fallen on deaf ears. Hope the successes of the league on the ground will lead to a change of hearts at Fecafoot or let them join the AMF.
